T1 / DS3 / OCX
Internet/Private connectivity to your office
|
By utilizing standard telecom circuits, such as T1s and T3s, we can provide your business
with all the capacity you need to connect to the Internet or connect your multiple branches
to one another in a fully meshed architecture.
Capacities available at all the cities we serve:
- T1 - up to 1.5 mbps*
- T3 (DS3) - up to 45 mbps
- OC3 - up to 155 mbps
- OC12 - up to 620 mbps
- OC48 - up to 2,480 mbps
- OC192 - up to 9,920 mbps
Multiple circuits can be combined for larger volumes of capacity and/or offered in a fractional fashion,
where, for example, 10 mbps of Internet connectivity could be offered via a T3 instead of the full 45mbps
of capacity a T3 can provide.
These circuits are also available within the buildings where our network nodes are located.
|
Another advantage of this service is that these circuits can also carry advance telephone services, thus reducing your costs
by mixing both services under the same network pipe. See our Voice over IP service page for more information.
What is the process involved?
- These circuits most likely already exist in your building, installed by your local phone company.
- A circuit would be provisioned to terminate at a router in your office, while the other end of the line is digitally redirected
to PremiaNet's closest network node.
- At our network node, it connects to our routers, and from there, to the Internet.
What is the cost?
- Costs depend on how far away your location is from one of our network nodes. If it's too far away, PremiaNet
may build a node closer to you.
- As an example, a full T1 can cost anywhere from $100 to $200 per month, plus the connection between our node and your building
(less than $200/month). Fractional T1s are available.
If the capacity you require is large and the building where your business is located has other prospective clients,
PremiaNet may build a network node on your building's basement and provide Internet and voice directly from that node
(see our Metro Ethernet page for more information).
Such a solution would be more cost-effective as it would not require you to invest in expensive equipment or telco lines.
Be aware that one of PremiaNet's nodes may already exist in your building. Contact our sales department for details.
